An Afternoon at the Zoo

This weekend was busy with company. Derek's dad came Friday night to go to a car show in Dover on Saturday. Derek accompanied him.

While they were gone, we had more visitors. Amy (sister), Indigo (nephew), and Christy (childhood friend) came for a visit.

It was a HOT day, but we had decided to go to the zoo. I put Meghan in charge of the camera. She took these pictures except the ones of the bison, giraffe, and children.

Melt My Heart

Before rest time each day, I read to Esther. The other day we were on her bed having just finished a chapter in the book we're reading.

Cuddling together, I asked her what made her happy. She replied, "You make me happy, Mommy." And then she gave me a kiss and hug.

Esther is, by far, the most affectionate Whipple. I love it.

Pinebrook 2015

We had another great year at Pinebrook. The weather was cooler than in the past, but it also rained at least for a short time on most days.

This guy enjoyed eating from the garbage can.

Meghan captured this dragonfly. I think it was a bit injured (the wing).
