Comparison...

Some say Esther looks just like me.  I was three in the photo below.  What do you think?

(A better reference would be if she had her serious face "on.")

Missing Family

Derek's grandma wasn't feeling herself this week so I was delighted when I pulled up this photo from 2012 and Esther instantly said, "Grandma" (or her two year old equivalent).
Esther's middle name is named for Grandma: Carol.

Open Pool

Tuesday after school the children played in the pool for the first time this summer.

Please take note: Three children posed, happily, for a photo.  And then some.
 Fun.
 Splashing.

Facial Hair

Some people can pull off facial hair.  Apparently, my oldest is one of them.
(I love this picture of Meghan.)

She came home from school wearing the mustache after completing her study of Mexico and wrapping it up with a fiesta.

Two...

Evan pulled out another tooth during rest time today.  I was hoping he would...it hurt him to eat his PB&J sandwich today.

He noticed himself he could talk well.

Two New Looks

Do you notice anything different about these two?
On Friday, Meghan had a haircut.  About six inches was taken off.  Unfortunately, that is not enough to donate.  When I first suggested she get a haircut for summer, she wasn't so sure about it.  Then, she had an idea of the exact cut she wanted...to look like Tabitha, the children's ministry director at church.

Evan's tooth has been loose, and this morning during breakfast, it fell out.
Just yesterday I explained to him how his cousin Arden lost his tooth while eating and swallowed it.  I also explained it may bleed when it came out.

This morning while eating breakfast, Evan told me he had just crunched through a piece of Shredded Wheat, but he thought it was his tooth at first.  Then Meghan looked at him and told him he lost his tooth!  I guess his Shredded Wheat wasn't as crunchy as he thought.
The three children before going to the bus stop this morning.
(And no, Esther's hair had not been combed.  Yes, Evan is still in pajamas.)

Summer's Arrival...Sort Of

The Thursday before Memorial Day was Evan's last day of preschool.  He was so BIG and HANDSOME.  He truly is growing up.

Not only has be completed preschool, but he also has his first wiggly tooth.  He seems content to let it be in his mouth, unlike his older sister who would feel a little wiggle and yank it out.

Prior to Evan's honors ceremony (similar to a graduation), I changed camera cards because the one was getting full.  However, the other one was nearly full, too, though I didn't know it at the time.  It allowed me to take a few pictures, however, I can't find them at the moment.  (And quite honestly, it's been a busy couple of weeks.  I don't think I looked before today.)

So, in place of a school photo, please enjoy this Duplo house Evan built, complete with stairs to the roof.
In this one, you can see the gap in his teeth from his loose tooth.
Though the boy loves LEGOs, I'm glad he still enjoys DUPLOs, too.
